Roads and highways
The construction of a wide range of transport infrastructures, embracing all the different classes of project existing in this field, has been the core area of our activity for many years now. Having originally started out undertaking small road works at specific points in Spain, we have now extended our capabilities to the execution of large scale road construction projects.
One such challenge was the construction of the road linking the provinces of Asturias and León (Rioseco – Campo de Caso) via the mountain pass of Tarna (1492 m), which involved the building of several steel lattice structures to span the wide inlets of the reservoir of Tanes and the boring of tunnels through the mountain in order to carry the road through the rugged terrain which characterises the area. Obviously this was a high budget project.
